The 115 SIDI 1.0 engine says goodbye in the Spanish market

A few months ago the offer of the Corsa Opel stopped counting on the 1.0 SIDI engine of 115 HP due to the little demand that was receiving in Spain and now it is the Adam who also will not have it. It is a solvent engine, low consumption but that raises the price of both models in many cases used for urban roads.

The one liter block continues to be sold as a basic option in the Opel Astra although with changes in electronic management to limit power up to 105 hp. Both Corsa and Adam were associated with the six-speed manual gearbox, being five in the compact.

The 1.0 SIDI 115 hp engine has lasted very few months under the hood of the conventional Adam since customers have preferred to "save money" and opt for the 1.4 XER of 100 hp. In the case of Adam Rocks has been a little more time for sale but since December it is not possible to order it, and should be limited to units in stock.

In other markets the 1.0 SIDI engine is also offered with 90 hp and replaces the veteran block of 1.4 liters and 87 hp (in the Adam family). Since it is more expensive to manufacture and in Spain has no bonuses at the time of purchase, Opel has never offered it here.

We do not know if later Opel will launch again this block so at the moment in the range Adam the most powerful versions are left with 100 and 150 CV, and in the case of the Corsa the jump is between 100 and 192 CV of the OPC ( In Spain also does not offer the 1.4 Turbo of 150 hp that does reach other markets).

Another important change in the Corsa range is that since December the Excellence termination level disappears both in combination with the three-door body and with the five-door body, with OPC and Color Edition being the most complete respectively.

Additionally, if you need to purchase some car gadgets, you can search via Banggood website, which is one of the wholesale platform to provide affordable prices, such as 6000k light, bluetooth touch screen car stereo, etc.
