Testing of the new Honda Civic 2.2 i-DTEC Executive: A real off-set

Today we bring to the testing the new Honda Civic, a model that stands in the C segment for its unique design, quality finishes, excellent performance and functionality of its interior.

The ninth generation of this legendary compact has been developed over a period that lasted for four years. Compared to the previous model, we can say that the name is buy just as virtually all its components have radically changed or evolved considerably.

The new Honda Civic has improved in areas such as suspension (to improve ride and handling), interior materials (to improve the quality of the passenger compartment), style design, aerodynamics (to update the image and improve efficiency ) and engines (for improved performance and reduced CO2 emissions).

The new Honda Civic is part of this large group of vehicles that can hate or admire. Personally, aesthetics I find really attractive as it combines a sporty design and serious that no waiver of that futuristic touch to which we are accustomed brand in this model. These adjectives come together to create a stylish and original lines that are not similar at all to those of its competitors, something to praise as more and more models in the same segment are more like each other.

Despite having a clear continuity style, it is remarkable, as I said earlier, that the new generation of the Civic and Civic previous generation have in common is the name. The new model is 20 mm lower and 10 mm wider than the previous generation and the lines get the Civic 5-door has the sporty look commonly found in vehicles 3 doors.
Seen from the front, the new Honda Civic perfectly incorporates the new Japanese brand DNA. With a very low front, the new Civic its gaze thanks to its new headlights depending on grade can incorporate standard Xenon HID projector-type with long and short lights.

For unit testing a Honda Civic in the finished EXECUTIVE, our Xenon lighting system incorporated a beam controlled by a CMOS camera attached to the windshield, in the rearview mirror. The camera detects the lights of oncoming headlights and taillights of circulating ahead, and automatically combines the low beams are activated if long. This allows the driver to concentrate on road conditions, rather than be dependent on the changing lights.

Then we found a headlight bezel in black color that occupies the entire central part of the front bumper is standard on all trim levels and gives the aesthetic so characteristic of the model. The gap for tuition Ecuador mark about the overall height of the front and is the height to which are the front parking sensors that are really recommended because of the poor visibility and the fall experienced by the front of the vehicle.

On both sides of the bezel surrounding the upper grid below and above the bottom, we find the bright daylight LED headlamps. In the lower corners of the front, Honda mounted fog lamps.

The aerodynamic lines of the new Honda Civic flow through the sloping hood that flows into the windshield curvature extending through the panoramic glass roof (non-opening) that equipped our unit.
